"Is this really all there is available?". This was the question that began the journey to what is now Hatchet K9.  Bryan, bred to be a dog owner, was searching for a better quality dog collar for his best friend.  He stumbled upon a "well-known" brand and thought he found it, only to find that the industry standard of "high quality" was much lower than he thought.  After some brief disappointment, he set out to make his mark and reset what premium means.


After some heavy research, thorough testing, and extensive design work, Bryan constructed what many would argue as... "the only dog collar worth buying!".  Heck, who wouldn't want a product that looks good, fits great, and lasts a lifetime!?


Bryan's unwavering passion for quality and love for animals exudes across the Hatchet K9 organization.  Each member of the group brings a unique set of skills, driven toward excellence, always with the end customer in mind.

Hand-built here in Colorado, our gear is made to take on and withstand everything that the harsh rocky mountain adventures will throw at you. We take pride in building accessories that are as functional are they are fashionable.


Here you will find we use industry-exceeding hardware for our K9s the same way we rely on it for our own personal gear out in the field. All materials, hardware, and products are proudly USA-sourced and made. We also understand that your dog can be as destructive as mother nature herself, which is why we stand behind our no questions asked warranty.

Bryan Poss

They say a dog is a man's best friend. Well, arguably, Bryan is a dog's best friend!


With well over 20 years of retail and customer service experience, we wanted to personalize your experience with the brand you trust for your K9 family member. We want you, your dog, and our team to be on a first-name basis!


I don't think there has been more than a 3-month gap that I've had or lived without a dog for my entire life. There were only 2 things that have been disappointing this entire time being "owned by dogs":

1.) Having to leave them every day to go to work, and

2.) Knowing that we outlive them 99.9% of the time.

So we set out on a mission to bring our office to them and help assure they live a long and healthy life right up until the end.


We have spent lots of money on collars, leashes, accessories, and wellness products for all of our dogs and never thought twice about it, nor will we! We love to spoil our dogs more than we spoil ourselves, and that won't stop either! If it matches their coat, has a specific function we need, or is going to be helpful in the longevity of their wellness, we wanted to create an array of products that is worthy of being in the conversation of what's best for your K9.
